Sailing has been part of Maurice’s life from the very beginning. At just ten days old, he was already onboard his parents’ boat, and growing up near the lakes in the Netherlands, he spent much of his youth sailing. That early connection with the water never left him. Today, Maurice combines that lifelong passion with extensive sailing experience and a relaxed, personal approach to hosting. What he enjoys most is seeing guests settle into the rhythm of the day, whether that means snorkeling in a quiet bay, enjoying a long lunch at anchor or simply relaxing together with a drink on deck. For Maurice, Good Mood is about giving guests the freedom to enjoy Curaçao from the water at their own pace, while knowing they are in experienced and capable hands.

Eric Jan is the local expert of the Good Mood crew. After many years sailing and working around Curaçao, he knows the coastline, bays, anchorages, local conditions and the character of the island’s waters exceptionally well. That local knowledge allows him to adapt each charter intelligently to the weather, the sea and what the guests would most enjoy that day. Combined with his calm, easy-going approach, extensive professional sailing experience and background with the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps, Eric brings both confidence and genuine local insight onboard.
